PARAMORE

PARAMORE is back ! Kini beranggotakan Hayley Williams (vokal), Josh Farro (gitar), Zac Farro (drum), Jeremy Davis (bass, sempat keluar pada album pertama dan kembali pada album kedua), Taylor York (gitar, resmi menjadi personil pada album ketiga setelah kerap tampil sebagai additional), PARAMORE (diambil dari kata Paramour yang berarti pengagum rahasia) seperti melaju semakin kencang sejak memulai perjalanan mereka 5 tahun lalu di Franklin, Tennessee. Meski tidak bisa dibilang revolusioner, gebrakan PARAMORE melalui album terbaru mereka menunjukkan bahwa band yang kini bernaung di bawah label Fueled By Ramen itu mengalami pendewasaan musikalitas.

Brand New Eyes, album studio ketiga PARAMORE yang dirilis 29 September 2009 menjagokan lagu 'IGNORANCE' sebagai single pertama. Lagu tersebut mengandalkan suara eksplosif sang vokalis, Hayley Williams, dan bukan merupakan lagu dengan nuansa 'catchy' yang langsung melekat saat pertama kali didengarkan. 'IGNORANCE' cenderung gelap dan penuh kemarahan, nuansa yang banyak muncul di album ketiga ini. Kesuksesan album sebelumnya (Riot!) dan tur panjang keliling dunia sepertinya telah memberikan para personil PARAMORE lebih banyak referensi sebagai inspirasi dan menjadikan PARAMORE lebih ekspresif dalam menyampaikan emosi dalam lagu-lagu mereka. Seperti remaja yang semakin dewasa dan beradaptasi saat melihat dunia sebenarnya, begitu juga tema lagu PARAMORE yang tidak hanya bercerita tentang cinta ataupun patah hati. Simak saja lirik Misguided Ghosts yang bercerita tentang seseorang yang kecewa dan kehilangan arah dalam hidupnya kemudian dalam waktu yang sama menyemangati diri untuk terus menjalani hidup apa adanya.

Total ada 12 track untuk versi internasional dan 2 track tambahan untuk Deluxe Boxset yang rilis di AS, sedangkan beberapa track ekslusif lainnya hanya bisa didapatkan di iTunes. Album ini diproduseri oleh Rob Cavallo yang juga menjadi produser untuk 'Decode' dan 'I Caught Myself', dan memang ada nuansa berbeda yang dihembuskan Cavallo di album ini dibandingkan dengan album-album sebelumnya tanpa menghilangkan sound khas milik PARAMORE.
